The Fawkner Bowling Club was officially opened March 6th 1966 (But it had already been operating since 1964).

Fawkner Bowling Club was very successful with a number of Men’s and Ladies teams. They won many pennant flags and progressed to the highest grades in the competition.

Lawn Bowls in general saw a decline in participation throughout the late 90’s and early 2000’s.

However, Lawn Bowls is now once again a popular sport with people of all ages. With Barefoot Bowls booming.

Here at Fawkner we are growing year by year. And kicking goals with our Saturday Pennant team making finals 4 years in a row and our Tuesday Team making finals for the 2nd year.
